Aqua
Camp Diving Academy (ACDA) is a co-ed SCUBA school
founded in 1989 by Woody Ward, a marine science educator
with over 35 years experience in teaching children.
Since its inception, ACDA has trained thousands of
10 year olds to adults how to SCUBA dive through its
year-round classes and summer camps.
Over
the past 16 years, ACDA has grown to include in addition
to its base camp, trips to exotic offshore destinations
including:
- Bahamas
- Belize
- Bonaire
- Caymans
- Costa
Rica
|
- Cozumel
- Honduras
- Florida
Keys
- San
Salvador
- Eleuthera
|
|
|
From
North Florida to throughout the Caribbean, ACDA's staff of experienced
instructors and divemasters, many of whom started as campers themselves,
can instructor all skill levels from beginner up through professional
certifications. With a focus on safe and responsible diving, ACDA
has consistently been a premier certification facility of International
Diving Educators Association (IDEA). In 2002, IDEA bestowed upon
ACDA the accreditation of Training Facility of the Year. |

From
day one when a camper arrives, the week-long adventure begins...
- SCUBA
diving training
- snorkeling
- dolphin
encounters
- marine
biology excursions
|
- swimming
- fishing
- playing
on the beach
|
Underwater,
campers can dive on sunken shipwrecks, reefs, genuine Hollywood
sites such as those in many James Bond movies, and of course
shark dives for the truly adventurous at heart. Above the water,
extracurricular activities include white water rafting, visiting
ancient Mayan Ruins, horseback riding, and zip-line canopy tours
of the jungle in some of our more exotic locations. Whatever
the level of desire for thrill may be, Aqua Camp Diving Academy
has a destination in mind for you. |
